Background

Unlike most holo-personalities, Fletch Masters looks the same at home as on the holo. Typically laid back in comfortable clothing, were he not famous he would be unremarkable. Of average build and complexion, Fletch is clean cut but not too clean.

Fletch Masters was an idealistic youth, but didn't have the habit of thinking things out. When he was fifteen, he was tested for latency at school. They discovered he had an above average level of psi. Not wanting to have to wait, Fletch lied on his applications and enrolled into the Legions.

Just after getting out of basic, Fletch was enrolled into the Sixth Legion and stationed in Spain. He was in country less then two weeks before the Esperanza disaster. The chaos that followed taught Fletch one thing - he didn't want to be a soldier anymore.

After appealing to his CO, Fletch spent the rest of his tour in Europe doing everything but carrying a rifle. He left the Legions as one of the few psions who was still enlisted.

Not having much of an education, Fletch bummed around Australia doing odd jobs. He finally settled a bit working as a chef for an upper class restaurant in Sydney. Soon, the novelty of having a psion chef (and the fact he was quite good) began to capture attention. Fletch was offered a job doing a cooking show for Stahu. He gladly accepted.

"Fletch Masters - Master Chef" quickly became the most popular cooking show in the AU. Fletch's combination of cooking talent, his charisma and quick wit won him wide appeal. When the show was released into other localities, it performed just as well (except in Nippon and the FSA where it was banned).

Fletch's popularity rose to the point that Stahu has produced two holo-movies. "Fletch Masters - Master Spy" was about a world renown chef who gets embroiled in an international spy plot. He uses his wit and clever food fights to save the day. "Fletch Masters 2, Enter the Kitchen" follows the same basic formula. Both movies have done well.
