Invisible Man Ralph Ellison
Discuss This Book

--This book is about a black man in Americcan society in the 1920's. It is a sort of narrative of his life, and how he discovers that he is invisible. He uses this to his advantage, rather than letting others take advantage of him. One of the subtle ways the author enforced the idea that the man is "invisible" is by never revealing the character's name. The book is full of beautiful metaphors, and descriptions. I highly recomend it.
