CRAZY
by Chrissy Engstrom

beyond the realm of reality
lies the birth
of
imagination
my soul spreads his wings,
and soars to meet with
eternity.
just after the death of reality
my soul unites himself forever
with a universal imagination.

though my soul has left for
this untimely marriage
my physical body remains
within grasp of my former reality.
my mind borrows ideas from
my long lost soul, and my
half reality begins to call me
CRAZY
'I have lost my mind', is what they say.
but I haven't.
I have my mind
it is my soul who has
run away.

they entangle my limbs with chains.
I am tied to a cement floor
'to prevent me from acting out
my wild fantasies
fantasies? fantasies?
I have no fantasies.
I have but two arms, two hands,
two legs, two feet, one face, one
mind, and one broad imagination.
if that makes ME crazy-
then aren't we ALL?
