INNER CHILD

I closed my eyes
and fell into
the depths of my soul-
my heart beating to
the drum of the
Earth

I met my inner child there
Look at the sky, she said.
Look farther.
Look at the moon.
Look farther.
Look at the stars.
Look farther.
Look at eternity.

What has eternity
to do with me,
I asked.

Everything, she said.
Eternity is where you
come from.
In the tomorrow of
the Universe
You will return
to eternity.
Earth is just a
flicker of forever.
Mother Earth is
but a daughter of
Mother Universe.
