Music

Two of a Kind delights audiences with their music, good humor and audience participation. This award-winning, nationally touring, husband-wife duo specializes in interactive musical programs for children. David & Jenny include songs, puppets, movement and stories, all with an emphasis on interaction and participation. Themes of songs and stories range from reading/books, friendship and animals to social issues such as the environment, conflict resolution and diversity.

Two of a Kind helps audiences of all ages feel that they can create music and that they can make a difference in the world!  Click here for more information about Two of a Kind

Stories

After retiring as an elementary school teacher and reading specialist, Jane King began her second career as a storyteller and preschool music teacher. She has played the violin and recorders in chamber groups and often uses the autoharp for interactive singing in storytelling programs.

Jane tells modern stories, folktales, fables and myths from around the world, sometimes with puppets, to educate and entertain. She has  presented programs at the Please Touch, Mercer and Michener Museums; in schools, libraries, and  churches; to Scout groups; and for birthday parties.

My World

Regina Levin, MSW, ACSW

Regina will lead a "My World" project:  The children will each make their own personal universe using planets to revolve around the sun (which represents them...as each child is the center of the universe!). Each planet is identified as something important in the child's life such as school, church, temple, friends, family, ballet, scouts, etc. They will talk about when and how adoption comes up in those parts of their world. This project is fun and helpful for adopted children as well as bio siblings, and for the many different adoption circumstances - domestic, international, younger child, older child, foster adoption, etc.

Regina has worked in the adoption field for 15 years providing  both pre- and post-adoption services and is currently Social Work Supervisor for Child & Homestudy Associates. She has facilitated many workshops for children and has planned children's programs for the National Adoption Center's annual Adoptive Families Conference. Regina is the adoptive mother of two children.

Arts & Crafts

FCC-DV mom and local educator/artist Andi Lieberman will guide the children in creating a special "quilt" of self-portraits.  Their work will be presented for all to see during the day's Closing Ceremony at 3:30.

NOTE:  Children under 4 will require a parent or guardian to participate in all workshops.
