UDF has always been about it's people. Our recruiting and selection process may differ a little from other clans in that we do not simply allow anyone who asks to join us to do so. We do not recruit purely on ability on the battlefield either. UDF has a policy of only recruiting those that show a given level of ability on the battlefield (basic skills such as build orders, scouting, upgrading, expanding etc) as well as, and more importantly to us, a personality that fits in with our existing membership. We need people who can represent UDF's skills to a high standard, as well as displaying honour, courtesy and above all else a sense of humour : )
In order to enlist in UDF, you will need to undertake a test game with a senior UDF member/s on B.net(Europe/U.S. East server) to prove your skills. This may be anyform of game, but a member of the council must be present and approve of the player. Winning is not a requirement, but a well-rounded understanding and ability of the game is. Or alternatively be well-known to a senior member of UDF who will vouch for your gaming ability and personality.
Following the game you will be told whether you have passed the basic skill requirement. If successful, the senior UDF member/s will usually have a short talk with you to discuss your reasons for joining etc. After all we can train you to improve your game, but we cannot expect to change who you are.

The UDF Charter
1. To play the game fairly and politely with all people regardless of how they treat us or speak to us
2. We always play to the bitter end of every game especially if we are losing and support our UDF Members to the last peon (it could make a difference)
3. If we win or lose we are polite to our opponents for the game regardless of how they treat us or speak to us
4. To work together through good times and bad times
5. To post (on our *private message boards ) a letter a week at least, remembering not to take things too seriously and keep posts fun and about the game.

6. Not to abuse anyone in the clan
7. To help each other improve our game and the reputation of the clan
8. To encourage new members to join UDF
9. All UDF members must have a permanent SN to use for clan purposes. All members that continuously change names will be discharged on grounds of suspected fraud. At no time will any member of UDF engage in or discuss <>< anyone caught breaking these rules will not be given a warning, and an immediate dismissal from the clan will be enforced.
