Activities
Getting out of the house to do things in the community is one of the best advantages a homeschooler has over traditionally schooled children. There are several organized monthly activities and special field trips to choose from. Socialization--that's the buzz word we hear too often from friends and family, who wonder how homeschooled children could learn to interact with their peers. A few pictures of our children roller-skating, making crafts, or building a website together can reassure those around us that our children do indeed get the socialization they need. In fact, because they are able to spend longer blocks of time together playing or working on projects, and because they also make long-term friends who are older and younger than they, our children can be better socialized than some of their age-mates elsewhere. Come take a look at what we're doing! Details and reminders for these activities are available on our Yahoo groups list. To find out how to become a part of the list, please call call Diana at(901) 754-1896 or Margaret (901)757-9859 Activites we have had over the years (but not necessarily on-going): Chess

they liked about it. Bookclub for Adults The current host chooses a book for everyone to read and discuss. Story
