This page is something very special. Wondering why? There is no topic to this page, no subject. This is more my attempt to capture the moods of JKrishnamurti as he speaks; sometimes irreverent, sometimes anguished-- but almost always brutally frank. So while all the other pages, have been put together for the benefit of you ,the surfer, you can say this page was put together primarily for myself. You are welcome to read its contents, but like I said, you may not find any focus here.
We want to know the truth about reincarnation, we want proof of the survival of the soul, we listen to the assertion of the clairvoyants and to the conclusions of psychical research, but we never ask, never , how to live- to live with delight, with enchantment, with beauty every day
I do not read newspapers. I do not read the Upanishads, the Gita or any other philosophical book. I occasionally read the Bible, not for what is said in it, but for the beauty of the language
This is sheer nonsense. It is a form of self-hypnosis. By repeating Amen or Om or Coca-Cola indefinitely you will obviously have a certain experience because by repetition the mind becomes quiet
If I want to find out something - which I don't especially - I can always go the encyclopaedia, can't I? Why should I carry all that in my brain?
Now you can ask me questions, not about mathematics and geography, not about who the king in the eighteenth century was - I wouldn't know, and wouldn't want to know either!
It seems to me that all ideologies are utterly idiotic. What is required is not a philosophy of life but to observe what is actually taking place in our daily life, inwardly and outwardly

You may say ' I can't do anything about it' or, 'How can I influence the world?' I think you can tremendously influence the world if in yourself you are not violent, if you lead actually every day a peaceful life - A life which is not competitive, ambitious, envious- a life which does not create enmity. Small fires can become a blaze
All life is energy. If that energy is allowed to flow without any contradiction, without any friction, without any conflict, then that energy is boundless, endless
Why is it that you, as a human being, who are so capable, so clever, so cunning, so competitive, who have such marvellous technology, who go to the skies and under the earth and beneath the sea, and invent extraordinary electronic brains- why is it that you haven't got this one thing which matters? I don't know whether you have seriously faced this issue of why your heart is empty
