The band was put together in the year 2000, two members of a Thrash Metal band were recruited for the project
, they were very well known in the 90's on the Thrash metal underground scene!those who were there know what I'm talking about. They started rehearsing right away making new HEAVY F*CKING METAL MUSIC! but always new ideas were brought to the table, so it could mix the old school with some of the new stuff, guess what? The concept of a new metal groove music sort of... came to mind! After a few long lasting drunk & wasted rehearsals the band already had 13 songs but no lyrics, so it was time to start auditioning for a vocal player, lot of the auditions were a waste of time, but after a while they met their first front man in year 2001.
After all the problems with the band in the past, it was decided to recruit new musicians a drummer; Alex and a bass player; Alfredo after only four rehearsals the band played their first live show in Hard Rock Cafe in old San Juan P.R. the band debuted with full success. After recording our first EP, what a difference hmmm! to work with people that have the desire to play music live! It is known that all the hard work, will be worth it!
In the summer of 2003 the band decided to let go their first vocal player which seems to have different ideas in mind to make music, but it doesn't matter what!, the concept of the band is clear & strong from the very beginning, UNZANE will GO ON !!!
In June 20/2003 strangely bumped with an old college friend in a concert, and after a while a question came to mind? He was asked to join the band, and without any trouble he accepted to audition for the band. STRONGLY WE PRESENT: DAVID CARRION is our new front man. We feel now stronger than ever.
UNZANE has entered the Recording Studio to make their next album which will be release in 2006.
