Lumberjacking
The Tools
Hatchet
Using the Lumberjack Skill
To
use the Lumberjack skill, start by equiping a hatchet or axe. After you
have your axe ready, walk up to a tree then
double click your axe or hatchet.
A target cursor will appear for you to selecet the tree you want to cut.
Pick a tree &
start hacking at it.
If you are successful, some logs are placed in your backpack. The number
of logs harvested is based
on your skill level. Each
log weights 2 stone. You can carry twice as much wood if you use the carpentry
skill to
make the logs into boards.
Boards weight 1 stone each.
Lumberjacking used in Combat
Slinging
an axe all day not only increases your physical skills, but it helps teaches
you to use it effectively
in combat as well as on trees.
A lumberjack will see an increase in damage when using axe in combat when
if you
have the lumberjack skill.
(Halberds, bardiches, and war axes do not apply)
Tips on GM lumberjacking
This information might
be helpful to you sword fighters of Britannia, so read carefully. First
thing to do is get a few hatchets.
and about 500-1000 cloth.
Now go to Jhelom dueling pits. When you get there, cut yourself some bandages
then go attack
an npc and keep you and the
npc healed. You can use a healing wand or get a friend to heal you both
if you can't heal. Fight
the NPC for a couple of hours
and then equip a different hatchet. Continue to do this all the way to
gm lumberjacking. If you
don't have a fighting skill
however, (example : mule character ) you can use this method on a friend
instead of an NPC in
Jhelom dueling pits. Just
get your friend to equip a weapon other than that of his fighting skill.
If your friend wants to walk
away from the computer or
go do something, you can tell him/her to macro something to prevent them
from timing out.
