![]() OSHies aren't very popular in either the PC or the PKC - people don't know much about them. I needed more pages for upgrade. It all works out wonderfully.
The OSHie isn't a real breed, it was created by PF Magic, and there seems to have been a bit of confusion in the PFM camp while they were concoting it. Although the file itself is called "Orange Shorthair", you can open the file with a hex editor and see that they've called it the "Orange longhair". And it gets better - if you take a keek at the web fun pack, under clip art, they're referred to simply as "wirehairs". The breed originally popped up in Petz One, way back in 199_. Back then, it looked pretty different! Their fur was a bright, dare I say flourescent, yellow. Textures hadn't been intorduced yet, so they didn't have the familiar mottled effect.
Although they don't look very similar, their personality has stayed intact. OSHies are, by nature, a flitty, flakey kind of cat - prone to random outburts of paranoia. Most enderaing. They act like Alley Catz, but at the other end of the specturm. Their little quirks aren't for everyone (for example, getting a nice show pose is difficult), but you can't say that they're 'drone'-like catz. For show tips, click here. Not only did PF Magic stuff up on the OSHie's name, they've given it slight second generation problems. Second generation OSHies have thinner legs and bitter feet. It's isn't very noticable, but if you're looking, you'll see it.
