RESEARCH PROGRAMS

Terms of Reference of the Zonal Research Center

1. Prepare a rolling Zonal Research Program considering, among others:
   
   Development needs of zone requiring research inputs
   R & D gaps not addressed by completed, on-going and planned, or funded by other donors
   R & D capability and specialization of HEIs in the zone
   
2. Update and maintain a database of researches of the HEIs in the zone
   
3. Process and evaluate research proposals for CHED funding
   
4. Monitor on-going research (on-going only)a) CHED-funded
   
5. Formulate and implement a rolling program for enhancing R & D capability of the HEIs in the zone based on assessment of existing capabilities and needs
   
6. Promote and facilitate networking among HEIs for research purposes
   
7. Coordinate, support and facilitate others in the HEIs to do research in academic departments where the researchers are housed
   
8. Submit on time expected deliverables based on the approved work plan and year end reports (accomplishment, financial, etc.) to be submitted within two months of the incoming fiscal year
   
   
9. Perform such other tasks related to research as may be requested by CHED
