        Keith Tamang-Calob
Keith, the youngest of the group, originally hails from Quezon City , Philippines . She has been playing the piano since the age of three but recently found a budding interest in electronic music, particularly with the keyboards. Coming from a family of musicians, it is not surprising that she is trying to make her way through the music scene. Through piano and electone organ playing she has garnered numerous awards and performed in different parts of the Philippines and also in Singapore . She has also won several competitions in the previously mentioned instruments. Though her training in music is more lined with western classical music, playing in a band is not new to her, her uncle, Chito Cendaña (former keyboardist of the group Retrospect, a Philippine-based band) being her first influence.
A fresh grad form the University of Santo Tomas , Manila , being a part of Urban Acid is great way to jumpstart her new found interest in music. Joining the group just last year would make her a new stud as to the other members who are pioneers of the said ensemble. Being part of the band, for her, is a whole new experience of creating and expressing music. Her musical influences include Martha Argerich, Richard Zimmerman, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Led Zeppelin, Chick Corea, Yes, and Dream Theater. Her other interests include dancing, singing, cars, zen meditation and sports.

        Jeffrey Mendoza
One of the pioneers of Urban acid! Jeffrey Mendosa. Bass guitarist of the band. Born in Hagonoy, Bulacan. the place where he started to dream being in the rock scene. He used to jam with local bands and old friends way bac in the Philippines where he played drums and guitar during his high school days.  Due to lack of instruments, he never had a serious band back in those days.
2001, he left the Philippines hoping for something new here in the States.    Through family friends, he made an acquintance with Karen and Bon.  By meeting karen, one of his influences, he started playing bass guitar. |

        Karen Santiago
The series of electric blackouts in the Philippines forced Karen to play guitar.  That was the 90's, Grunge era, and rock music was the "in" thing.  She studied piano when she was 8 yrs old and it continued to be her main instrument.  Having only an electronic keyboard to practice with, she realized that an acoustic guitar is the only way to cure the boredom of the blackouts.    In 2000, her parents bought her her first electric guitar (that became her main guitar for the next 5 years).  UP Diliman's "Death to Pop" battle of the bands in 2001 opened up the doors for her.  The rest, as they say, is history.
Punk, hard rock, pop rock, are just some of the type of bands she's been into since 2000.  It's been a series of experiments and frustrations that still gives her great satisfaction up to this day.  John Petrucci, Paul Gilbert, Grace Nono, Placebo and Manuel Legarda are just some of her heroes |
