SAN FRANCISCO WELCOMES
INVASION OF WAR BRIDES

San Francisco, Calif.
The war brides invasion was scheduled to reach its peak here this week with two shipsloads of more than 1600 war brides and their children arriving from Australia and New Zealand to join American was veteran husbands in homes throughout the United States. The Monterey is scheduled to arrive Monday with 815 brides and children and the Mariposa Wednesday with more the 800.
