War bride honored at St. Regis Falls

MALONE – Monday night Mr. and Mrs. Wessley Austin gave a reception at their home in St. Regis Falls in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Austin. Mrs. Austin is St. Regis Falls first English war brides.

Pfc. Austin returned to America and received his discharge on Dec. 6 after having served in France, Germany and England. Mrs. Austin came across on the Queen Mary March 18. Her husband met her at the dock. Her name before marriage was Francis Lillian Crewdson of Liverpool, England.
