Navy Wants Funds to Get Wives Home
Washington – (AP)
– The Navy Wednesday asked Congress to remove existing restrictions so foreign-born wives of all naval personnel can be brought to the United States at Government expense.
Action Navy Secretary H. Struve Hensel said present law excludes the transportation costs of dependents of lower-grade navy enlisted men and of all Navy men attached to ships “whose home yards are within the United States.”
