First Italian Brides DueMarines Cut Woman Discharge Score

Army port authorities told International News Service Wednesday that the first shipload of Italian war brides will arrive in New York Thursday.
The group includes 412 Italian wives of American G. I.’s and their dependents aboard the Algonquin which sailed from Naples.
Marine Corps Headquarters told the United Press that discharge point score for women marines will be reduced from 17 to 16 on March 1.
Returning service veterans from Pacific and European Theater totaling 12, 731 are schedules to arrived aboard 16 vessels at six United States ports Thursday, the Associated Press reported.
