The American War Bride Experience

GI Brides of World War II

Broadcast Reunion

I shall be too excited to say much, said Mrs. Catherine Girver, of Shepherds Bush, London, when she was one of seven mothers chosen to talk by radio to the GI Brides daughters in American on Sunday.

“I want to thank the people of Yonkers who have made my daughter so happy since she arrived.”

While Mrs. Girven is broadcasting her message Pat, now Mrs. Hoffman will tell her mother about life in New York and how Francis, her husband, a demobbed Senior Sergeant now working on New York Central railroad, is progressing.

Patricia Hoffman arrived in New York on the Queen Mary, Feb. 10, 1946 The B.B.C. will not broad cast the family reunions.
