The daughter of Bgztllian U.P. Vice President Winema Wazzo, Tinya assisted the founding Legionnaires in apprehending some terrorists, earning her Legion membership. Like all Bgztillians, Apparition has the natural ability to shift her body into a phantom state, enabling her to walk through objects. Some time ago, Tinya learned she was also part carggite (see TRIAD) her other selves separated from her at birth. Apparition is married to fellow Legionnaire Ultra Boy, who until recently she believed was dead. She is currently en route to Earth with their baby and traveling companion, Timber Wolf.

Brainiac 5 (or "Brainy" to his teammates) possesses a 12th-level intelligence (double the universal standard). He has undergone several transformations since first joining the Legion. A space anomaly altered his physical appearance, but it's been his exposure to peers his own age that have changed his coldly-logical state into a still-cold, yet occasionally emotional, logical state.

Reep comes from a race that can analyze and store data about any object or other life form through their antennae. Durlans can then shape their bodies into nearly identical duplicates whenever they want. Nearly all other races fear and distrust Durlans because of this ability.
Leaving behind a position in Durla's political/religious caste, Reep adopted a humanlike appearance to join the Legion. As one of the more outgoing Legionnaires, Cham is exploring the complexity of relations with non-Durlans. He considers teammates Sensor and Invisible Kid his best friends. He has been involved romantically with Spark.

Rokk Krinn's highly developed magnetic skills were discovered early, and he became Braal's greatest (and youngest) professional MagnoBall player, which enabled him to support his poor family. Rokk's fans gave him the nickname "Cosmic Boy," a title he continues to use with pride. While on a MagnoBall promotional tour, Rokk, along with Imra Ardeen (Saturn Girl) and Garth Ranzz (Live Wire), prevented the assassination of interplanetary entrepreneur R.J. Brande. Impressed by the teens' bravery, R.J. convinced them to form the Legion of Super-Heroes. Cosmic Boy's maturity, levelheadedness, confidence, and charisma made him the natural choice for leader, and he guided the team well through the uncertainty of its early days. Although no longer in the leadership role, Cos is still highly regarded by his teammates as the one who best embodies the essence of the Legion.
