The Pima Air & Space Museum (PASM) features over 200 aircraft on display and has five large hangars totaling 100,000 square feet of exhibit space. An original WWII barracks contains an extensive model collection, arranged chronologically, which shows virtually all U. S. military aircraft from pre- World War I to the present.

Air Force One This DC 6 A was usedby John F. Kennedy. It was the only aircraft used as Air Force One from 1961 thru 1963. Then, a DC 9 was added to the presidential fleet, but this DC 6 A still remained in service and was used for shorter trips. It is, however, not the aircraft that JFK used on his very last trip, to Dallas, Texas. |

It's very interesting to see the wide range of both civilian and military aircrafts from the very beginning of aviation to
recent history (there are, however, no brand new aircrafts. I guess that's why it's called a museum). The
visitor should be aware that it can be quite exhausting to enjoy the museum. Since aircrafts need a lot of space even when
they're parked, the exhibit area is huge, therefore you do a lot of walking in the hot Arizona sun.
