From August 26 to September 29, 2000, I traveled thru the South West of the United States. This trip, starting in
Phoenix AZ
and ending in
Las Vegas NV,
took me not only to some of the most interesting places of the Old West's history (like
Tombstone AZ
and
Lincoln, NM)
but also allowed me to explore
scientific
and, to a certain extent,
military
sites.
Of course, I also visited some
National and State Parks and Monuments,
including
Grand Canyon,
Mesa Verde
and
Death Valley.
This travel log lets you participate in my journey. Beside some
pictures,
this site contains some basic information about the sights I visited and may therefore be useful when you plan your own trip to
the USA. However, please keep in mind that this is not a travel guide but just my personal diary.
Since there are plenty of existing web sites covering just about every place along my route, I have included links to those sites
rather than spending hours typing all the information from these sites into my own pages.
