- The trouble with Fonts.
Well it works something like this. Often messages which you send in Thai will come out as ??? ????? ???? or as a sequence of odd letters unrelated to the Thai alphabet.
There are fonts which you can use such as ThaiTTF and ThaiEng which can be downloaded from Seasite and indeed are a necessary to use their website.
However for sending messages on ICQ it may be better to use Arial Unicode TTF or CordiaUPC.TTF either of which you can find by searching using a search engine like Google.
Frustrated with the problems sending messages I resorted to putting together a message in Thai, copying the screen into Paintshop Pro and sending the resulting picture as a low resolution GIF or JPG image. That way I could be certain it would not come through as ??? ?????? ????
