Wed. 4/14/04: Month 6 post-accutane
Last Friday, I got my 2nd glycolic peel. She left it on a bit longer than 3 minutes, but definitely not 10 minutes. So, maybe 5 minutes? 7 at the most.
I could really feel a difference now. My skin is so smooth after the peel. It feels great! I think the redness has lightened, too! YES! So, I'm definitely going back for more. My next appointment is in 3 weeks.
So, I'm changing my regime a bit again, because I got zits. Eww! I suspect that it might be because I haven't been cleaning off my makeup well with the Neutrogena Eye Makeup Remover that I substitute for a makeup remover, so I'm switching to my Mario Badescu cleanser, which removes all traces of makeup. Then, I use Klaron instead of the Aloe Vera gel. I also suspect that the Aloe may be contributing to the new acne since it's right about the time that I started using it that my breakouts started. Of course, it could also be all the sushi that I was eating last month (the seaweed can cause acne).
So, here's my regimen:
Morning:
1. Wash with Triaz
2. Lotion with Purpose SPF 15
3. Makeup (Sheer Cover)Night:
1. Wash with MB cleanser.
2. Apply Klaron to zits and apply Cetaphil to dry areas.
3. Take Vitamin C (500mg) and E (400iu)I have about 5 zits on my face. 2 on my forehead. 1 on the left cheek. 1 humongous one on the right cheek. And 1 under my left eye brow.
Despite the breakouts and me stressing out last week about it, I'm actually a bit more relaxed this week. I think that the Klaron will take care of them fine and I haven't really had any new breakouts. So, after I take care of these, I should be back to my usual cute self. hehe. =)
Stay tune for next month's update!!
