USS Champion Episodes Launch from Space Dock - The USS Champion was commissioned to serve the Federation in a scientific and diplomatic scope. However, with the loss of the strength of the Fleet due to the Dominion War, the Champion, as all ships in Starfleet, has been assigned to protect the interest of the Federation. Return to Angosia - One by one planets fell to the Dominion War. The only way to rebuild the Federation is to invite and accept new members. Ten years ago the planet of Angosia III applied for entry into the Federation. After an investigation the USS Enterprise-D determined that Angosia was not fit to join the Federation. During the Tarsian War the people of Angosia biologically and psychologically modified super soldiers. After the war the soldiers were exiled to a penal colony. Since then the psycho-bio-engineered soldiers have been reintegrated into society. As such Angosia's application into the Federation was accepted. The Champion was to witness historic occasion...welcoming the Angosians into the government of the free universe. The festivities were interrupted by a renegade faction hell bent on severing ties with the Federation - the Tarsians. They managed to board the ship and commandeer the crew. After a battle that ensued the crew of the Champion were able to regain control of the ship and request intervention on Angosia's behalf. Typhoid Morganth - Immediately prior to coming aboard the Champion Doctor Jason Morganth helped eradicate a viral infection plaguing a distant Starbase. Little did he know he was a carrier of the disease and that the disease morphed into a potentially deadly virus that is spreading rapidly among the crew. The virus is a mutated version of an Angosian flu that binds with genetic flaws to release predisposed diseases that have since been eradicated. Crew on the Champion are experiencing dementia, cancer, hallucinations, and other maladies that contemporary medicine has all but destroyed. The Delta Fleet has dispatched the USS Olympic to assist the crew of the Champion. In the event a cure cannot be found in 72 hours the Olympic's mission is eradication...it gets worse when the disease is discovered to be a biological weapon. Enterprise - While recovering from the mysterious biological weapon they trace the carrier to a Ferengi trading vessel. In scans the Champion discovers illegal isolytic subspace weapons on the Ferengi vessel. Badly damaged the Ferengi vessel experiences a warp core breach, causing a subspace tear. Patching the tear the Champion ejected its warp core. Unfortunately it was too late. The ship was sent far into the past and next to the Enterprise NX-01. To top it off long range sensors have picked up two Klingon vessels heading for them. Foiling the Klingons, now without a message sent from Ambassador Behl'harr to his people, the Champion managed to return to their own universe, though with devastating consequences - the ship exploded. Oh Whendoria! - A new ship with a new name...sort of. The USS Champion - B was commissioned and, as a Concorde class starship, expanded the ship's abilities. After the devastating destruction of the original Champion all crew were accounted for as either casualty or rescued - except for the Ambassador. Where did he go and why are the Whendorians contacting Starfleet. And why is Commander Serin of the Olympic urgently contacting his brother Jaxton Vee of the Champion? |
