A Closer Look At Joe and Gina Ables

Let's take a closer look at one of Gospel Music's freshest new duets - - the husband and wife team of Joe and Gina Ables. Newcomers to Southern Gospel audiences, Joe and Gina have become familiar faces and friends in just a matter of a few years.
Based out of Newnan, GA, each of them share a unique testimony. Joe after enjoying an active career in Country Music began to strongly feel God leading him to attend church where he rededicated his life to the Lord in 1987. Almost immediately he started sharing his vocal talents in the church choir. In 1997 Joe felt God's leading again and recorded his first project.
Since then Joe's ministry has continue to expand both in territorial impact, and with the addition of his wife Gina singing, starting in 2001.
Joe says "The addition of Gina both vocally and spiritually is something that I could've never imagined . . . that's what happens when we get out the way and let God have His way!"
Totally surprised at what God is doing in their ministry every year, Gina echoes Joe's amazement as she shares," When I would sing a solo, my voice would quiver and my hands would get so clammy, I thought I'd be electrocuted by the microphone. I kept on singing. With God all things are possible. I still get nervous, but I am more confident now."
The year 2004 also held great and exciting things for the duo as they joined the Lamp Music Family of artists on the Mountain Top Record label. "They have done very well since becoming part of the label," says Lamp President, Mike Pillow , "They have such a genuine enthusiasm and heart for the ministry of Gospel Music - - it's wonderful to hear from them and hear how many people are coming to the altar during services. Lives are definitely being touched by this couple's obedience."
Joe also comments, "I have recorded with several different facilities during my country music career and in Gospel and I can not tell you how pleased we were with the awesome staff at Lamp Music . . . before, during, and after 1st class all the way! - - a true extension of what we do in our ministry."
2005 is also shaping up to be another groundbreaking year as Joe and Gina visit many Gospel radio stations as a part of Lamp Music's Celebration Radio Tour.
