-About The Registry-
Getting Your Horse Registered
If you have a Warmblood, it's easy. You simply go to the Get Registered page, follow the link to our board, and post the necessary info. Once your horse is accepted, they will be listed on our Registered Horses page.
If you have another type of horse, or you want to register your horse for breeding stock (this means that all foals of that horse are automatically accepted to the registry if they are by TB or WB mares and if they fit within the general breed guidlines. They will be accepted as whatever breed the approved parent was, or in the case of two different approvals, whichever the owner desires. This allows for more cross-bred horses to be accepted more easily. Also, this allows for get out of other types of mares to be approved more easily for either registry or breeding approval) it is a bit more difficult. You must fill out the specified form on the Get Registered page, and wait for approval. If you want to register a Hanoverian to breed Hanoverians, you should have no problem. However, if you want to register an Arab to breed Trakehners or a Saddlebred to breed Warmbloods, it will be a bit more difficult. Your horse will be evaluated, and based on the stats, the show record, and the conformation, the horse will either be accepted or denied. A denied horse will be able to reapply to become Approved in a month's time.
Basically, it isn't that hard to get registered or approved. It sounds difficult, but really, it isn't. Just try, and see. You may present any horse of any breed to be approved or registered, but I warn you that a QH or a Norwegian Fjord is not likely to be accepted to the registry, though PERHAPS to the Approved Mares/Stallions list.
You may put a horse up to be registered and approved at the same time, but I may accept them for one category and not the other.
Your horse will recieve a banner to be displayed proudly on their page, as well as a few notes about the horse itself. The horse will also recieve a registry number which we ask you put on their page or keep safe, as it makes it easier for us to update records when you put down their numbers with show entries, or when we change notes about them on our pages.
Sporthorses (TB crosses w/ other breeds, usually) may also be registered.
The Registry Show Circuit
Only horses belonging to the registry or the approvals may enter the shows on the circuit. There may be Registered-Only or Approved-Only shows, and I may have the occasional lottery or raffle, or contest, or evaluations available as well. I may also occasionally put registered or approved horses up for auction on the show board, or offer up approved stallions for stud, so check it often, because I will try to keep it up.
Notes:
Holsteiners and Hanoverians are pretty much interchangeable these days, as are some other warmblood breeds. If you wish to Register your horse as a particular breed or multiple breeds (for example, I've registered my stallion Calektro as a Holsteiner and a Hanoverian, even though he's technically a Holsteiner) then please note that. I don't have a problem with this, and if your horse is registered for one breed, it's not very difficult for them to be registered as another. However, it really is irrelevant for Registry, and matters more on Approvals, where one stallion or mare could be registered to produce five different types of warmblood (for an RL example, check out Donnerhall).
