HOW DO I PARTICIPATE IN THE FAST?
If you are interested in participating in the 30 Hour Famine you will need to pick up a pledge sheet and envelope to collect your donations with. Remember the sooner you pick up your form, the more sponsors you can gather and the closer you are to winning one of our great prizes!!!
Pledge sheets and envelopes will be distributed at booths which will be located in the Student Life Centre on the following dates:
Tuesday October 14 and Wednesday October 15, 11:30 AM – 2:00 PM
If you are unable to make it during any of the above times please contact uwfamine_volunteers@yahoo.com.
While you are at the booth do not forget to pick up some of our free stuff such as stickers, tattoos, dog tags, frisbees, etc!!!
And for those of you who would like to show some early support for this year's famine, Wednesday, October 8th will be our Pre-famine Event. Along with our regular booth, we will be setting up various displays to raise awareness about poverty and hunger issues across the world. As well, it will be the launch of our International Cook Book and the Community Silent Auction, of which all sales will be added directly to the famine donations.
HOW DO I RETURN MY SPONSORSHIPS?
Pledge sheets and envelopes may be returned at the Famine After Party, which will take place Friday, October 17th 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM, in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Student Life Centre. If you cannot attend ALL forms (even if they were unused) MUST be returned to booths set up from Monday, October 20th - Friday, October 24th between 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM. If you cannot make it at any of those times, or have misplaced your forms please contact uwfamine_volunteers@yahoo.com. For legality purposes, this is extremely important!
