I have completed my undergraduate degree - Bachelor of Technology (Electrical Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M), India. My minor stream during my undergraduate degree was Communications.I'll be receiving my final degree on the convocation being held on July 30, 2004. Starting August 2004, I shall at Rice University, Houston, pursuing a doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering.

During my final year at IIT-M, I worked on "A study of adaptive transmission in HSDPA." HSDPA, or High Speed Downlink Packet Access, is a new feature in Wideband CDMA which improves the efficiency of downlink transmission( from the base station to the user equipment.) More about my work, including a report and presentation, can be found Here. .

TeX, a telephone exchange simulator, designed by me & Matka, won the second prize at IIT's Techfest 2003. It calculates the number of inter-exchange lines needed at any exchange to achieve a desired level of performance ( blocking probability ) given the traffic statistics. This can work for upto 5 simultaneous exchanges using a number of different line allocation techniques. The source code and the program are available for Download Here.

I also worked on "A USB Laser Transceiver design" about which more can be found out Here.
