Israel. Jerusalem. The ancient city of gold and stone.  Magically (and perhaps unusually) peaceful as I walked the biblical pathways in awe of the overwhelming sense of historical significance and power that flowed from the stone walls and cobblestone streets of the old city. The view from atop Mount of Olives where Jesus began his journey of the cross before his crucifixion. The walled old city of Jerusalem is in the centre of the picture just beyond the cemetary.  Note the golden dome of the Dome of the Rock in the Muslim quarter.  The skyline of the new city is in the background.
