Aconcagua - At 22,850 ft. Cerro Aconcagua is the tallest mountain in the world outside of the Himalayas.  But due to the sudden onset of high altitude pulmonary edema, my trek to the summit ended prematurely.
Buenos Aires - The cosmopolitan capital of Argentina.  A huge, busy city of over 12 million people where you can tango in the streets of La Boca or siesta in the shade of a huge ombu tree in the parks of Recoleta.
Patagonia - From the Torres del Paine to the crashing Moreno glacier, the natural beauty and harsh climate are breathtaking in this heavily glaciated southernmost area of South America.
Iguazu Falls -
Visit these spectacular waterfalls that cascade into the Rio Iguazu gorge between Brazil and Argentina through the lush surrounding  jungle, more than
2 km across and 70m high.
