(i) The Law of Abundance <Done on : Tuesday, October 21, 2003> The Law of Abundance Competition. Did you ever wonder about how much of it is real and how much of it is made up? I mean is competition really out there, no matter who we are and what we do, or is it just in our minds? The CEO in one of the companies i worked for used to say: "We're are in this business to make India a global player in this market segment. We're here to provide the best work environment so that all their needs and aspirations are taken care of. Basically, its about wealth creation". Then I first questioned myself:"How can someone create wealth? Isn't money supposed to be limited and the distribution of it create wealth and the lack of it?" And then I read a few books on economics and did a lot of thinking. To cut a log story short, Here's what I understood: Money, as in the currency under distribution in a country is limited. This is limited to the extent that the authority (in the case of India, it is the Reserver Bank of India) that decides not to print unlimited amount of currency. By and large, we can presume this authority to know what it is doing and expect it to balance the printing of its currency... // I was having a discussion with the folks at my company ...to be continued (ii) What I want to be and Why I don't see any role models around. To be very specific: Differences between the people I see around and my vision of my future self.

A peek into the most probable future of the content on this site: [Did you know about the Double-slit experiment which proved that: "Information in the present can change the past"?] Here are the list of topics: (i) Affirmation - Yarn-dye your thoughts on reality. (ii) Where does Dissatisfaction (the source of growth) end and Frustration begin? (iii) Why do we sometimes feel that life is meaningless? (iv) Do it yourself - A mini book. (v) The concept of "Vratam" (meaning a 'discipline' or a 'habit' adhered to for a specified number of days) (vi) List of all the books that I've read till date. (Posted under the books section) (vii) Clarify what I mean by Self-Realization/Software/Personal Finance (viii) Easing Knowledge Transfer: There are certain kinds of knowledge which demand effort to 'memorize' a pre-defined set of rules. This kind of knowledge (which is prevalent in many a area) is 'boring' when one attempts to acquire it. The best way to impart such knowledge is by story-telling. I plan to story-tell such knowledge related to various fields. (ix) Ease understanding of concepts such as Design Patterns: Can story-telling be applied to *essence* of experiential knowledge such as DP? I plan to undertake one such effort to get an experiential knowledge of the feasibility of this. :) Can I get to post it on TSS? ;) |
