-- 03/13/1999 -- 3pm: Team B @ Rebels --
Over the last two games, the Rebels have shown signs of
breaking out and getting a win. Their five game winless
streak (0-2-3) ended with a victory and a shot at second
place.
The Rebels employed the 2-1 offensive-defensive alignment
to slow down a normally quick Team B. As fate would have
it, Team B broke in on zone and Lorraine's untimely
tripping penalty actually prevented a two on none disadvantage.
A short time later, Team B scored but Rebels answered back
with a goal from Mary. By the end of the period, Team B
regained the lead to make the game 2-1.
With the start of the second period and a fresh line out on
the ice, Lina took charge and quickly tied the game.
Jeanne then put the Rebels out in front for the first
time in the game with her goal. And just when you thought all
was quiet, Mary raced in to score the next two Rebels'
goals for her first hat trick of the season.
Team B tried to slow the Rebels' momentum by attempting to
control the puck. Team B eventually scored their third goal
of the game, however, good defensive play by Leslie,
Shann and Lorraine kept Team B off balance
through most of the period. For extra insurance, Traci
and Carol provided Wendy with a 7-3 victory
by contributing two more goals to finish off the game.

-- 03/13/99 -- 4pm: Rebels @ Spencer (make-up) --
This was to be the make-up game for the originally scheduled
February 6th game between Spencer and the Rebels.
A Las Vegas Tournament, known in advance by the league, had
prevented the Rebels from playing this game. After having
difficulty with trying to re-schedule this game, it was agreed
to finally play on this date and time.
Unfortunately, Spencer did not show and the Rebels received
a 1-0 win via the forfeit. This victory gave the Rebels 10
points (3 wins combined with 4 ties) and sole possession of
second place with a first round playoff bye.
