Duel of the Fates
by Selinthia Avenchesca
Echoing voices of the past,
conflict brought to the forefront in a battle of eternal enemies,
eternal points on a scale.
Balance is forever whole and lost.
A Master of the Destroyers of those who would Destroy
takes his place in forefront of battle,
his Apprentice by his side.
Alone is the Sith
against those peace-lovers who would become warriors
before his double-edged blade.
Glaring, brilliant, crimson power,
conflict and wonderment,
shock and disbelief,
make a battle for the souls of those who would
empower and preserve the Force
See the Dark grow,
see the Light fall
in a gasp of horror,
the last breath of a worthy warrior,
splitting the air,
not quite drown out by the scream of one who
holds him dear.
Satisfaction, triumph,
surge through the Darth,
as faces does he the Padawan.
Opposing, counterparts,
Apprentice Jedi to Apprentice Sith.
Fury, both subtle and strong,
guides both blades,
as vengeance motivates both hearts.
Dark and Light clash.
This is neither the first battle,
nor the last.
