Meet Me in the HallwayWhat is with this generation of today? We'll keep on fighting 'till there's nothing standing in our way and united we stand as divided we fall all the punk rockers, you've got to sing along Meet me in the hallway you're gonna have a revolution on your hands we have no rules and no control except for all the punk rock bands meet me in the hallway there's no time to say goodbye and we will hold these values until we die! The punk revolution will never end you can pray for that at night 'Cause without punks rules would be set and no one would try to fight Madonna was punk but never really true 'cause she switched with the crowd just like all you A&F preppies PROUD TO BE PUNK SCREAM IT LOUD!!! (Chorus) Our punkass way of life started out fighting uniformity now it seems that all we say is "you're not as punk rock as me" the contradiction of our beliefs will destroy us in the end but as for those who have been true we certainly won't bend! (Chorus) This song is about how mainstream and censored "punk rock" has gotten over the years. and how many people like to think that they are more punk rock than others just because maybe they have gotten in more trouble with the law, or because they have more rancid and dead kennedy's tee shirts. Punk rock is an attitude and a state of mind, not a fashion statement. I just found it very funny because punk started out fighting the things that they believe in now. the punk scene now is mostly just a bunch of fascists. |
