NEWSYou've come to the section of the site where all the breaking news is. Find out what's happening with High Society today!! May 23, 2000 After a long wait, this page will finally be updated. Mark and I are currently planning the new web page which should be up soon. Keep checking in to see what's new on the site! Here's the news: News April is looking like it is turning out to be a very big month for us. We just went back into the studio again on April 21st to record a five song EP And yes, we finally have "High Society" recorded and released for all of you people who have been asking. We also recorded "Possession", "Get my mind off my mind", "Conquered Earth", and a new tune, which features Dave Tree from Tree on vocals with Justin. We recorded at New Alliance Studios in Boston Mass. with Ken from Wonderdrug records. It was great working with Ken. He did a terrific job and we thank him a lot for all of his help and hard work!! Our manager, the terrific Mr. B, co-produced this release with the rest of us. Also, in other news, the WBCN Battle of the High School Bands on April 16'Th in Maynard went over pretty well. Other bands in competition were "Fat Joe and the Rhythm Pigs" who is an incredible band from North Andover. Unfortunately we didn't win, but there is always the possibility of the wild card spot, so keep your fingers crossed. Oh, and speaking of WBCN, we are asking that people call and request high society during Boston Emissions (Sunday nights at 10:00 p.m. (617) 536-8000) we have had air play on BCN a couple times in the past few weeks and we would love for that trend to continue! Check out the lyrics in the Lyrics Section. Here are some up coming shows! March 26: HilliePalooza at Haverhill High School. April 16: At the Sad Cafe in Plaistow, New Hampshire. May 2: At The Elvis Room. They will be playing with Kicked in the Head, and possibly The Ducky Boys, Big D, and the Kids Table. Right now High Society's also trying to organize a local show at the American Legion. If you know any bands interested in playing, contact Doug, Matt or Mark. So far High Society is talking with Spiff 45 (pop punk), possibly Kicked in the Head, Big D, and anyone else interested. February 15, 1999 Justin Sirios, a Haverhill Highschool sophomore, has officially joined the band. He will be playing guitar, singing, and dancing!! |
