This is an annual event, usually the first major offroad in Western Canada. Each year the entry get better as done the competition. Although this was my first year attending, I must say that the PG RC club does an excellent job! I would recommend this race to everyone who can make it.
The track is very nice. It's a medium to hard pack with some loose stuff in the corners. Good elevation changes, nice challenging bumps and jumps, and plenty wide to make a pass on the inside or outside line. Traction is good, with most vehicles using a step pin tire.
The weather was questionable for Friday practice and Saturday morning with, light to moderate showers. Saturday by mid afternoon the Sun came out and, Sunday was awesome racing weather, +22c and Sunny!
3 rounds of qualifying on Saturday. 2 rounds and single A mains on Sunday. Autoscore was used for scoring with "heads up qualifying".
Notice.... the club used a "double bump up"
