[ Roaring Dragons ]
You wander about the strange, grass-covered room, glancing at all of the different portals lining the walls. Each blank portal seems to be exactly the same as all the others. There are no signs on any of them, no labels pinpointing to where they might lead to, no nothing at all. You wonder how Vaprrenon is able to keep them all straight in her head; you cannot even get them straight to begin with. You sigh finally, in defeat, and decide to just walk over to one. It looks just as good as any other. You put your hand forward, watching it sink into the blank canvas, sending a rainbow rippling effect to the portal's edge, and finally step through the thing once ready. You tumble through an empty void for a short while, but soon come to an abrupt halt. You open your eyes and glance around at the rocky area in which you now find yourself. There are sparse trees here and there, but mostly large rocks sticking out of the grass-covered earth under your feet. You hear a shout from behind you and turn to see what or who it was from. "Vee Headbu--oh!" The creature blinks with surprise, staring at you a moment, as if he had expected something far more dangerous to have appeared. He smiles once he recognizes you as a guest. "Sorry about that!" he cries, rubbing the back of his head. He hops down from the rock he is standing on and wanders over to you, smiling happily. "Hey, there, I'm Veemon!" he says happily, staring up at you. "I was a Limited Edition cyberpet over at Roaring Dragons, based on the digimon, I was. Ha!" He smiles and you return the gesture. The little blue being takes your hand. "Alright, alright! This way! I'll be your guide for now. Most of 'em are over by the springs, not far from here at all. Come on, come on!" You trail behind Veemon for quite some time, glancing at the seemingly barren landscape. You wonder how many creatures are actually living in a place like this. And, if there are quite a few, where the heck are all of them?! You sigh as Veemon babbles on about some strange kid with goggles and fights and eggs and....whatever else; you don't really know at this point. You have some limited time to be here and want to see the other creatures from Roaring Dragons. "Get down!" Veemon suddenly whispers, jumping up and pushing your head down, almost into the dirt. He crouches down behind the boulder, peering over the top. You follow suit and gaze out at the area with him. You blink with a slight gasp, seeing a skeleton creature stand and seemingly glance around. Its rear still seems to have some bloodied skin hanging onto its bones, but it doesn't appear as though the tissue will last for that much longer. You swallow. "That's Grave," Veemon whispers to you. You glance over at your guide questioningly. "He's really mean, always hungry, and he eats flesh and bone, so it'd be best to keep away from him..." The little creature swallows. "We're not quite sure if he's undead or is just a normal dead dragon under some evil spell, but I don't think it really mattesr, now does it?" He tried to foce a smile, looking out at the ghastly creature as it paws at the ground before heading off, tail swinging behind it slowly. The creature grunts and you sigh, sitting back after the encounter. "Sorry about the suddenness of all that," Veemon says in apology after Grave is safely gone. "But I'd rather not let him see and eat us, wouldn't you?" He laughs and you smile, glancing back every now and again, your subconcious convinced that Grave will jump out at you at any second and try to bite your head off. You wonder if there are many other creatures from Roaring Dragons to be careful of on your journey. "We're almost there!" your little blue guide announces after a time. He points over at a group of boulders sticking form the ground, nearly in a row. "Right over there, just a little teensy weensy climb over them and you're at the springs!" He smiles. "So come on, then! We're just about there, let's go, huh?!" You smile and nodd, the both of you running over to the lot of rocks. "Race ya!" Veemon calls with a laugh, speeding up. You grin and pick up your own pace. |

![]() Grata --Limited Edition--
Wow, you find yourself thinking, maybe racing wasn't such a bright idea as you first thought it would be. These rocks are a bit larger than the rest you have seen scattered all ovre the place. You make it up, laying down, huffing and puffing to catch your breath. You can't believe Veemon has enough energy left to dance around singing an "I beat you!" song in victory. | You sigh and finally decide you should get up. You stand, stretching your back to feel a bit better, and look to Veemon. He smiles with a slight laugh and points down over the other side of the rocks upon with you both are now sitting. You move your eyes to see where exactly he is pointing, and suddenly behold a large sparkling spring. You blink in awe, staring at everything. You stare at the beautiful scene of the water trickling into the large body from what seems to be a small cave at ground-level. You glance over to Veemon by your side and he merely smiles, running down with a "Come on!" to entice you to follow his example. You follow after him, trying to keep up with the creature before you. You look up as you see a patch of blue-purple fuzz moves into your vision. You stop and turn, wary after seeing Grave. You stare at the happy-looking griffin, the thing cooing softly as it lowers its head and causiously takes a few steps toward you on the rocky ledge. Veemon stops where he is and turns back around, smiling when seeing your new companion. "That is Grata!" he says with excitement. "She was another limited edition at Roaring Dragons, and she is now a keeper of the springs. She makes sure no danger comes to those hanging out around here, which is good because it's a really popular place!" He pats the creature on her head and she nods, going back to her post atop the summit of the rocks, back to where you have just come. Veemon waves for you to follow. "Hurry up!" He smiles and skips down to the earth, you in hot persuit, nipping at his heels as you try to hurry things up on your part. You stop and rest by Veemon's side when reaching him. He was waiting for you. "This is Caragon," he says suddenly. You look up and see the black dragon sitting near Veemon's side. How did you miss seeing him before, you wonder. You blink and look from your guide to the dragon. "Caragon was a CCF gift from Magnus a little while ago. She found him stored back in her old files and decided the CCF members might give him a good home." Veemon smiles happily, looking over to the stren looking dragon gleefully. "And he did find a good home, right, buddy?" The dragon looks to the blue creature and seems to smile, nodding a bit as well. Veemon stretches and yawns a bit. "He'll take you from here," he announces. "There's a new guide for you just over there near that group of trees. I'm off to find something to eat. Hope you have a nice stay here!" He smiles and suddenly turns and walks off, leaving you quite bemused and standing there like an idiot. The dragon stands and nudges you, walking off toward where Veemon had instructed. You sigh and, glancing over your shoulder at the other for a moment, follow. |
