[ Roaring Dragons ]
You follow behind Caragon over to the small patch of forestry, trying to look beyond the dragon to see any odd colors or movement there to give away the position of your new guide to Roaring Dragons' cyberpets. You see a flash of yellow, and approach as Caragon sits down nearby. You blink, seeing a strange being just before you, seeming to be beating a fur rug of some kind...or is it? The dark dragon behind you grunts, and the creature before you glances up, blushing wildly as he pulls the fur over his head. "I'm terribly sorry!" he apologises right away. "My name is Gabumon, based on the digimon. I'm sorry you had to see me without my fur...I don't take it off very often at all, but it needed to be cleaned. Sorry again." He smiles sheepishly as the dragon rolls his eyes, standing and wandering off already. "I guess I am your new guide then, aren't I?" He continues at your nodd. "Then we'd better get going, huh?" You smile at the digimon-like creature tries to change the subject from his exposure. He rushes past you, obviously in a hurry to get his flushed red cheeks out of your sight so he can let the embarassement pass more quickly. You smile and roll your eyes slightly as his perdicament, and turn to follow behind him as he heads near the edges of the valley-like area surrounded by rocks. He points up the boulders a bit once he finally comes to a stop, turning to face you, but not truely looking you in the eye yet. He points up at the boulders above the two of you. "Here they come. Try not to make any real sudden movements, or they might get spooked. They're real causious and all, so try not to frighten them any." He smiles to you after you nodd, wondering what creatures are who are 'coming' as your furred guide had informed you. You look up to where he had pointed and smile. Of course an adoption agency with the name "Roaring Dragons" would have more than just a single dragon to offer, you think with amusement. You most likely should have suspected one of these mythical creatures to come romping down at you, how silly to think otherwise. You kneal, watching the surprisingly small dragon causiously sniff the air, watching you, circling around the area a bit. No wonder Gabumon told you not to frighten them. This one alone seems to have some issues with trusting strangers. "This is Icer," Gabumon explains are you twist your head to see the dragon circling around behind you. He growls at you when noticing your movement, and you realise you had whipped your head around much too fast for his liking. "He was a Christmas gift to the CCF a while back, and he's one of the patrol guards here. That's why he doesn't care for strangers--has it in his head that anyone he doesn't know might be an intruder!" You nodd to your guide, but are quite careful to see that you don't nodd too fast for the winter dragon's liking. You glance over at it as it finally sits down a few feet away and glares at you, studying you closely. You look at its strange candy cane mane and beard, amused by the coloring...and also his interesting wing structure. This fellow must be special to have so much support on his wings. You wonder how far and how long he can fly for with wings like thise attached. Your ponderings are interrupted as your guide Gabumon shakes your shoulder a bit, ahving been asking your name but getting no response. You look up at him, wondering what the trouble is, and he smiles and points back up at the hillside again. You glance up at the large boulders to see another wintery dragon scampering down the stones to meet its counterpart watching you at the bottom. You causiously, slowly, stand up as he nears the lot of you, and recieve yet another growl from the suspisious Icer. |

You watch the thing come down. It sees you and instantly tenses up; he hesitantly takes a seat near his dragonic companion. You slowly look over to Gabumon for some sort of introduction, as neither of these two icy holiday dragons seem to be in the mood to explain who this new pet might be, much less anything else about him. Gabumon smiles and and shrugs. "They're brothers," he says to explain away the many similarities between the two wintery-themed dragons nearby. If it wasn't for the hat on the new arrival's head, you would probably have a lot of trouble telling them apart. Perhaps they are not just brothers, but twins. "His name is Snow Drift," Gabumon continues while your mind wanders off. "He was also a CCF gift. Both he and Icer were given out and adopted by Vaprrenon at the same time." You nodd slightly to let him know you understand. You doubt that these two creatures before you would very much apreciate the idea of you talking,a nd you really don't feel like risking your neck to merely say something of no real importance. Gabumon seems to understand your dilemma, and he smiles at you with a slight nod of the head. He turns back to the two dragonic brothers before the two of you and raises a hand, making a motion that might be used to shoo away a cat or some such creature from your front porch. You blink at seeing that, wondering if that will really make a difference to the two icy, Christmas time-colored dragon brothers. "Go on, then," Gabumon says simply, trying to convince the two living statues. "Back to your posts. This one is a guest, you need to go back up there and make sure no one else comes through that isn't supposed to. Go on, now." He sighs as the two merely glare at him, not wanting to budge, wanting to stay here and watch this stranger, you, instead. Gabumon sighs, not knowing what to do, but his face clearly brightens as he looks up to see another figure atop the rocks. "Fluffers!" he shouts happily, glad to see what appears to be a large doglike creature looming overhead. "Finally, a voice of reason for these two!" You look up, blinking in utter surprise and shock at the fierce beast glaring down at you all. This creature is Gabumon's so-called voice of reason? More importantly, why on earth is a creature with an aura of anger and strength like his is named Fluffers of all things? You can't help but smile, even a bit, at that idea. Where does Vaprrenon pull these names from with these cyber pets? The thing growls deeply, makes a few roaring barks down at the two dragons, who simultaneously lift their heads to glance up at the giant beast. First Snow Drift, then Icer, stand and wander back to the hill of boulders to return to their posts. Fluffers knows best; he is not in charge for nothing, after all. Gabumon waves to the beast happily as he, too, disappears over the rocks, and your guide turns to look at you again. "Fluffers was won by Vaprrenon in Magnus' 'Release the Beast' contest some years ago. She won him in the 'Big Beast' category, and she put him here to guard most of her other pets. So far, he's the only match for Grave that we've found. We don't know what we'd do without him!" He smiles and puts a claw on your shoulder, guding you around, back toward the little valley. "Come on, there's more to see! This way!" He smiles warmly and walks off ahead. You glance back at the boulders one last time, feeling eyes watching you still, and head off after him. |
