be off-centre. Like many things in parenting, good things come in being a little off. Let's not have baby right smack in the middle of the picture. Add some interest to the picture by putting Junior off-centre.
- shun the sun. Sunny days are nice, but too much bright light gets your subjects all squinty-eyed. Cloudy weather can help you take the best pictures! A cool day cuts down on harsh shadows and provides effective lighting for good mood pictures of your little one on Granpa's lap. Be sure to use your flash!
- take active pictures. Say goodbye to all those stand-and-say-cheese pictures, and take shots of your baby blowing bubbles, your toddler trying on Mummy's shoes… kids are seldom still, and they bring a healthy sense of vitality to all your pictures.
