I. District Training Center (prototype details)

1. 100-125 acres of land.
2. Office room, class room, meeting hall, staff room, Primary and Veterinary Health centre, cattle shed for 300 cattle, store room, godown, etc.
3. Bio-mass power plant up to 6 MW, rice mill, oil mill, etc.
4. Modern kitchen for value added product(s).
5. Vehicle for transport of goods and local conveyance.
6. Vermiculture and production of other agricultural inputs.
7. Land utilization particulars as below.

II. Information Centre

1. We consider, minimum 5-10 acres of land owned by the local active farmer who will be having little knowledge or interest on organic farming.
2. First district selected is Kolar in Karnataka, India, with 11 Taluks.
3. Each Taluk will have 12 information centres.
4. Thorough training in organic farming will be given to the selected farmers.
5. Each information centre will have a Gobar gas plant, Small cattle shed, Vermi Compost unit, Office room and a Diesel water pump run by Gobar Gas.
6. Proper publicity for the activities of the information centre will be given through display boards.

III. Organizers

A local person from the same Taluk, preferably Graduate with agriculatural background will be selected. The responsibilities of the organizer will be:

1. Co-ordinate with the District training centres and its information centres.
2. Establishing Self-help groups in each and every village.
3. Providing training to the self-help groups in the activities connected with VAYU.

IV. Products produced

Products that can be produced by the villages through Self-help groups are:

• Agro products: Rice, pulses, vegetables, fruits, organic oil seeds, etc.
• Organic food items: Milk products, papad, pickles, masala items, honey (with non-violence), jam, ketchup, etc.
• Herbal products: Herbal food supplements, herbal cosmetics, etc.
• Other products: Hand made paper, decorative items, broom sticks, etc.

Note: Necessary marketing arrangements will be organized for the above products so that every family can earn Rs. 3,000/- to 5,000/- per month apart from agricultural income. Farmers can get better rates for their agricultural products through our system.

• When agriculture is a profitable venture, villagers need not migrate to cities.
