1. Choose a family/compound from the Walk of Fame above.
2. Using the process on the next page, answer the question, "what role(s) did your compound play in the past 100 years?"
3. Assign one of the four roles to each group member and use the links provided as well as any other resources you may have to fulfill those roles. The roles you may choose are: biographer, make-up artist, People magazine interviewer, and film critic. More detailed information is provided regarding these roles on the next page.
4. Ultimately your webquest will end with a paper. The paper must be 5 pages long with 1 page being contributed from each group member consistent with their respective role, and 1 page in conclusion answering the focus question. Relevant diagrams, chemical equations, etc...should be included in an appendix.
5. Extra Credit: You and/or your group may choose one of the following options to earn extra credit. * Chemistry song parody: this requires the group to take an existing song and rewrite the lyrics to reflect the characteristics of their given compound. Recording or performing their song parody will earn additional credit.
* Advertisment: this requires the group write an adverstisement (either commercial or printed advert with artwork) about their compound or family of compounds.
