Pre-press decides the fate of the printing. Most of the final adjustments are done during the pre-press stage. Increasing or decreasing the number of colours will have a direct effect on the cost of the project. We estimate and compensate for dot gain/loss of the plate making and press where your jobs will be printed. The real pre-press operation starts even before the finalization of the design. (In India the job passes through several hands and each one contributes their own skills or mistakes. The lack of overlap between each stage of the job development starting from Creative team, The Artists, Pre-Press and Printing. In general, each one working independent without knowing other's limitations. The creative team may not have any idea what will happen at the pre-press stage. The pre-press people are do not care about what type of printing it is going to be. The reproduction people may at the end pay for all the mistakes - due to ignorance and the knowledge gap during the job development stages.) Therefore, (as we do), Pre-press is an integral part of the design development, that should be done during the designing, not after the job gets approved. It is not possible to train each department in the areas other than their operation. Instead the entire process should be monitored by a single team which has knowledge in all the operations. We do exactly the same thing. The job is conceived developed and processed under our direct supervision, (whether in-house or remote) no gaps in between, absolutely seamless, a near ideal and predictable result every time
