Rumorpit Update: (2/3/02) The Synergy's Rumor Pit clears up any rumours of a rarities album not being released. The band plans to work on the rarity project while working on a new album. No dates were given as to when this will begin but past updates indicated this month or in the very near future.
Concert For Artist Rights: (1/30/02) Eddie Vedder will be performing at the RAC benefit concert on Tuesday, February 26th. The tickets went on sale through Ticketmaster On January 25th. R.A.C. is a collection of music recording artists who represent the rights and interests of the performers. To learn more about the Recording Artists Coalition and its cause, visit the RAC site. Xmas Single: (1/24/02) This year's edition of the Christmas single has been sent out to members of the Ten Club. This year the collection features two songs from Bridgeschool 2001--"Last Soldier" (new song) & "Indifference"--John Lennon's "Gimme Some Truth" from Groundworks 2001, and Jeff Ament covering the Ramones' "I Just Want Something To Do." Artwork of the single is available on Synergy's music section. Album Rumor: (1/24/02) manateeBound's website is reporting that Pearl Jam will be entering the studio with producer, Adam Kasper, to work on the new album. Some may remember, Adam Kasper was the rumored of working with Pearl Jam in the past before Tchad Blake was chosen to work on Binaural. Spin Magazine: (1/10/02) Spin has named Pearl Jam as the 26th greatest band of all time. The Beatles took the top honours, followed by Ramones, Led Zepplin, Bob Marley and Nirvana. The full list will be published in February issue of the Spin Magazine. Xmas Single 2001: (1/10/02) The Ten Club has confirmed that the 2001 edition of the Christmas single will be released on January 16th/01 and shipped out to fan club members the following day. I Am Sam soundtrack: (12/30/01) The soundtrack is set to be released on January 8/02, very brief information on the album is already available on CDNow. XMas Single: (12/30/01) Members of the Ten Club can sleep easier knowing that the fan club reports the artwork for this year's single has been cleared and could be ready to be sent out to the fans in the very near future. Rumorpit: (12/23/01) The 49th issue of Synergy's Rumor Pit reported Pearl Jam is heading into the studio in February to begin the work on the next record. It denies any earlier rumors of the band touring South America and decisions will be made once the record is finished. The rumorpit also states a rarities album is to be released sometime in the new year, a new Brad album, a possible Brad tour and Ed's cover of Beatles' "You've Got To Hide Your Love Away", on the I Am Sam movie soundtrack coming out January 8th/02. America: Tribute To Heroes Following the September 11th tragedy, many musicians gathered at secret locations in New York & Los Angeles for a large scale global telethon to raise funds for families of the victims. The result was a musical collection of appearances by artists such as Bruce Springsteen, U2, Neil Young, Sting, Paul Simon, and Eddie Vedder with Mike McCready. Joined by Neil Young, the two Pearl Jam members offer a striped-down gripping version of Long Road. The album is in stores right now and proceeds go to the September 11th Fund. Pearl Jam Heading Into The Studio: According to this Billboard article, Stone Gossard confirmed Pearl Jam will begin working on a new record early in the new year. The location of the recording and producers have yet to be chosen but the band is ready to record new material. |
