| Powerpole Looking at the description, I figured a short climb followed by a bit of a downhill. Preperation was week as I hurried out the door, bike on one shoulder, rack on the other. Upon arrival I realized I forgot my helmet, but it's just a short ride so there's no big deal right? Well if you ever decide to ride Powerpole, I would suggest full body armor and kahoonas the size of grapefruits. This ride was amazing. A 2 mile downhill through rocks, drops, dips and switchbacks. I consider myself a fairly capable rider, and this trail was challenging for me. There's no shame walking here as the trail will suddenly drop and turn just before small cliffs. Directions: >95 south to Boulder City >Left on Yucca st. (no light) >Drive through rock quarry and follow signs to MNTB trails >Park at the mouth of the canyon >Maps are in a mailbox on a telephone pole |
