Born and raised in the Las Vegas area, I had to spend 4 years in the Air Force, and 10 years in California, before I realized that I was not meant to escape the Las Vegas' Summer Heat. I've been writing poetry since 1995, and my beginning influences were Jim Carroll and Jack Kerouac. I have since found poetic love with Charles Bukowski, Wallace Stevens, Gary Snyder, and most recently, Gregory Corso. Although I will be receiving my BA degree in Management Information Systems in December, my love for poetry will still go on. The Las Vegas poetry community has also been a big influence to me. I don't want forget mentioning that. Also, when not writing poetry, working, or attending class, I like to watch movies, complain about the heat, bitch about all the studying I have to do over the weekends, and chase young women...
