Le Théatre des Espoirs

The Scenes

The scene is an important part of the theatre. Presently, there are two settings.

Le Théatre des Espoirs - The theatre

The physical theatre is an old warehouse that was remodelled by a slightly excentric dance instructor. Now retired, he rented out the building to a small group of theatre students who needed a place to live and work. The building was later purchased and donated to the theatre by the wealthy Onanism/William.

The building is three stories high, and has a basement. The top floor is mostly storage, with  the dance studio and a few rooms. The second has more rooms, the communal bathing facilities, and the lounge. O the main floor are the office and lobby, and the rooms of the first members. The stage is in the basement.

Le Théatre des Espoirs is the only all-male theatre in this relatively large Canadian city.

Velvet Night - The Dance Club

Recognize the name? Velvet Night is one of the more popular night clubs in the city, and a favourite of the theatre boys. It is fairly large and plays a variety of music - though usually rock or techno with a pounding base. The interior is dimly lit, the lighting coming from floor lights around the large dancefloor, ceiling lights above the bar, and candles on the tables.

The club is owned by an influencial and connected businessman, and thus, though the atmosphere is an open invitation to sin, very little goes on that might harm the club's reputation, for fear of offending him.
