So it began, after a long separation from his wicked lover, he chose to summon her back from her temporary grave. The night of Halloween, several years later, he broughtforth the little wooden box containing her heart, and set it gently between his ritual candles on the altar. He worked his devil magic & incantations, working feverishly to bring her back. As winds gusted and lightening erupted the silent night...an erie blackness surrounded his tiny town. Still uninterrupted by the rising forces, Blade opened the box and retreived the heart. He laid it upon a marble slab, cold as ice. He slit his wrist slightly, spilling droplets of blood. This was the catalyst for the spell. She began to return, in a whirlwind of mist & moans, she took her new shape upon the marble slab. His eyes drank in the excitment. Soon, he thought, he would be with her. He thought things were going to be perfect. He thought she would be so grateful for what he had done. He had, in his mind saved her. He kept her safe from those who tried in vain to harm her. Even though he had to kill her, he knew surely she would forgive him, afterall, he loved her & he thought that was enough. He felt she would be moved by his gesture in giving her new life through his blood.
He watched in amazement as her body took shape upon the slab, still beautiful he could see. He could see her eyes fluttering open as the drama unfolded...did she know what was happening to her? He had missed her so. He could not wait to hold her, smell her soft skin. And as quickly as it began ..it ceased. She lay there, motionless, in the darkness. An chill filled the air, as he began shivering slightly. Suddenly his candles lit themselves, illuminating the slab. He looked upon it...and she was gone! In seconds she had disappeared! He turned looking for her, shouting her name.....Jessica! Without any explanation she vanished into the night. He felt both angry & hurt. He couldn't understand why she left. He felt betrayed as well. A faint laughter began to fill his ears. It was hers, laughing rather maniacally. He felt something he had not felt before, slight fear. He was a little nervous, not knowing what she was going to do. He felt something was not quite right.
In her mind, she wanted to kill him where he stood. Rip out his heart like he did hers. She hated him, how could he say he loved her? She felt his gesture was purely self-motivated and didn't "save" her in the least. Her powers were stronger this time. She knew everything he was thinking, and it made her laugh. His moves were absolutely self-serving. He used her money to set up his club, lived in her townhouse. How is that loving her, she thought. She was determined to rid herself of this demon, once and for all. She fled into the darkness to give him a few more minutes to live, because her urge was overwelming. He had betrayed her, so she had to get rid of him.
When she decided to show herself to him again, she had a subtle control over the urge. She had however, decided it would be a devilish game of cat & mouse beforehand though. She slid up behind him while he sat on a tombstone in the dark. It actually startled him, cause he knew something was not right. She began to circle him, with taunting words that grew sharper with every heated breath, til she began whittling away at him. "So many secrets you kept, she lashed. Little did you know the power it held. I guess its your nature, demon, to lie. But that is something I will not tolerate, not even from you, demon. You did nothing to protect me...you harbored me...controlled me, used me to gain power for yourself. You're selfish & spoiled & ever demanding. My plight was only a way for you to gain control of me, manipulate me into giving you what you desire, be it riches or sex. I was only a benefit to you when I was needed, when I was not, you put me aside. Her sharp tongue sliced him into pieces. She had reduced him to little more than a pathetic shell of a man. A few seconds later she plunged into his chest & retrieved his heart, and then there was nothing left. Her demon disappeared. She grinned and whispered to herself...I need no one....
The chaos had made her rattled & a bit paranoid. She was somewhat frightened, and greatly wanted to find sanctuary. Her thoughts turned mortal-like momentarily, as she felt a desire to be home. Safety was there, in Paris, she thought.
