Morning After The
morning after,
I stand and watch her silent beauty sleep.
One hand, long delicate fingers softly touching her face,
As she sleeps gently, stealing my heart.
Taking my breath as I inhale it,
Weakening my knees as I stand beside her.
The morning after
As dawns light play across her angelic pose
Long lashes and softly rising falling breasts,
Follow gently curving hips and long supple legs,
I fall in love again,
But for the first time.
And my heart flutters,
And butterflies alight from deep within me.
Such beauty is a woman,
This woman, capable of.
Such softness,
Such serenity,
To move a man to tears,
That brings this man to stare
At loves manifestation,
The morning after.

My Lord, My Light
My Lord, My Light.
My sweet merciful Father.
Master of all that is,
Ever was,
Or ever will be...
My mind is open to thee.
It is clear and full of faith.
Ready to be filled by thee.
By thy laws,
By thy richness of thought,
And clarity of path and purpose.
My Lord, My Light.
My sweet merciful Father.
Creator of the heavens,
Forger of the stars,
And the light everlasting...
My heart is open to thee, My God.
It is a hallow vessel ripe for filling.
Ready to receive the grace of thy love,
Of thy tenderness and warmth.
Fill my heart up my Lord so that I may
Touch another with thy glory and grace,
Fill my heart up my Lord, so that I may
Love another the way you love me so!
My Lord, My Light.
My sweet merciful Father.
Patron of the Earth and all that it holds,
All that it grows.
Filler of the great ocean depths,
Great Druid of the forest' primeval.
My soul is open to thee my Lord.
It is but a floating cloud waiting to be filled;
With the clarity of thy words of wisdom,
The strength and purpose of thy faith,
And the direction that comes from knowing;
That thou art the one true Lord,
My one true salvation.
The pure and unconditional love I seek.
Oh how I love thee,
For thou art my light.
Oh how I need thee in my life.
For thou art the rudder that gives direction.
Oh how I need thy strength.
For thou art the wall I lean upon when times are lean.
My father,
My strength,
My savior,
My Lord,
My beacon and guiding light...

Now I lay me down to Sleep There have been times.
There have been days.
There have been weeks.
There have been months.
With my tortured soul and painful heart.
I wish to sleep an endless sleep.
Twice in this life
I thought I would
I thought I could
Lay my own soul down to sleep.
Plans were made and bills were paid
Notes were written and bullets bitten.
When twice in this life
I thought I would
I though I could
Lay my own soul down to sleep.
My heart hurt so at times
And I was tired of life's little ire's.
My mind was clouded with self-pity
And nothing seemed to matter;
I was alone in the city.
When twice in this life
I thought I would
I though I could
Lay my own soul down to sleep.
So many nights spent all alone.
So many nights I sat by the phone;
Waiting for the call that never came
Trying so hard not to go insane.
When twice in this life
I thought I would
I though I could
Lay my own soul down to sleep.
But I found the will to stay to the course.
From deep inside my pain filled heart.
Hope sprung fourth from a deep dark well
And crept into my soul and made me whole again.
Now and then,
From time to time,
The clouds return to hover again.
But never as dark
And never as deep, that
I think I would
I think I could
Lay my own soul down to sleep.

Newport by the Sea
Newport by the sea,
How you've captured me.
Though I was raised within thy grace,
I never glimpsed thy true face.
Thy stately manors I knew well,
Yet thy modest homes I could not tell.
Thy oceanfront I did admire,
But its true nature I could never tire.
Thy old Colonial' I passed day-by-day,
But thy stately Victorians were a mystery.
Newport by the sea,
How now can I leave thee?
Thou hast captured my heart,
With sunlit gardens and watery easements.
Tree lined boulevards, and salty breezes.
And Infused my soul with beauty,
Which gently pleases.
Though my body may reside in other places,
Newport by the sea,
Is where my heart races,
My love for her will never fade.
And one day;
Once more in her arms I will lay.
Within the softness of her bosom I will stay,
Newport by the sea,
I love thee

Old House New Old house New,
The fence needs a-mending.
Old house New,
The porch needs a-fixing.
Old house New,
The sides need a-painting.
Old house New,
The wallpaper needs a-hanging.
Old house New,
The walls need a-scrubbing.
Old house New,
The windows need replacing,
Old house New,
And the stairs need repairing.
Old house New,
The kitchen needs a-flooring.
Old house New
The back porch needs a new door,
Old house New
The bathroom is too small.
Old house New
And there's creaking in the hall,
But
Old house New,
You saved me.
Old house New,
You gave me;
A place to live and cook my meals,
A place to bathe and rest my head.
Old house New,
This is my house,
This is my home.
No more searching,
No more do I roam.
Old house New,
I love you so.

Our America
This land, this America,
These purple mountain's majesty,
These amber waves of grain,
These shining seas so blue,
And lakes so golden.
This land, this America,
Is our land, blood and sweat born!
The Declaration of Independence,
The Constitution of the United Stated of America,
The Bill of Rights, the first ten.
The Emancipation Proclamation,
The "I have a Dream" speech of Martin Luther King,
These are our documents to live and be governed by.
They belong to us,
As surely as they belong,
To those who once held us in bondage, and disdain.
We have a stake, we have a claim.
This Capitol dome, the seat of government,
Bastion of democratic law,
This White House, the seat of power,
Bastion of democratic enforcement,
This Supreme Court building,
Bastion of democratic jurisprudence,
Interpreter of the written word.
These are our institutions,
They belong to us to use and profit from,
To seek release and justice,
And equal protection under the sun.
Far too often Black American's fail to see
That this land is our land,
From sea to shining sea.
This land is our land,
Deny that fact,
How could it be?
For we are here to stay,
There is not other land,
That could possibly offer us what this one can.
My brothers, my sisters,
Why can't you see,
That the American Dream
Belongs to you and me?
Laziness and blame serve no purpose,
But to keep you down,
A pauper, a servant.
An angry man in a foreign land.
Seeking something for nothing,
Money and domain for free.
Is this what we want our children to be?
A beggar, a welfare mother, an ignorant stereotype?
I say nay!
Let our children achieve,
All the American Dream can be.
No more excuses, no more lies,
No more hatred let bigotry die.
No more hiding behind a drug induced stupor.
Let show our children how to cope,
With strong minds and stronger hearts.
Lift the chip from thy shoulders and you'll
see
That this is Our America,
From sea to shining sea!

Perfect Words If I could take the perfect words,
And place them in thy hands,
What would they say?
What matter of feelings would they convey?
Will they make you want to stay,
Or run, far, far away?
If I could take the perfect words,
And place them in thy hands,
Have them wrap endlessly around your fingers,
Softly caressing each one in turn;
How would you feel?
What would you do?
What would you think?
If I could take the perfect words,
And place them in thy hands,
Would you hold them in thy heart,
Hold them to thy breast?
Would you let them touch thy soul?
Their words a sweet caress,
A soft embrace,
A knowing smile,
Thy fears they would erase.
Thy loneliness replaced?
The perfect words you see my love;
Are one's that say I do and I will:
I do want you.
I do need you.
I do desire you.
I will respect and honor you.
I will cherish and worship you.
I will comfort and keep you.
I do love you, above all others, I do.
So take these perfect words my love,
And place them in thy hands.
Never let them go my love,
And my heart you shall always have,
My soul you will inhabit;
Yours I will be for a lifetime,
A lifetime of hopes and dreams fulfilled.
A lifetime of softness and sweet caresses.
A lifetime of love and long flowing dresses.
A lifetime of thrust and togetherness.
If I could take the perfect words,
And place them in thy hands

Pedals
If I could...
I would shower thee in rose pedals,
Pedals both red and white,
White and red richly fed.
Pedals sweet and soft as silk.
Pedals rich and fragrant as a forest deep and green.
A bed of these I would make on which to lie
with thee.
By the hand I would lead thee,
To lower thee gently,
Whispering softly to thy heart,
With lips moist and tender.
On a bed of roses smooth as satin,
Soft as silk.
On a bed of roses...
Together we would lie,
And Sweet love would we make to one another,
Sharing without measure the pleasure of each other bodies,
The quite stillness of each other's stare.
The soft caress of each other's soul,
The hushed rapid beating of our hearts.
On a bed of roses soft as satin
Pedals soft as fresh spun cotton,
Pedals as fresh as a spring day.
On a bed of roses we lay.
Love songs would I sing to thee,
Tender caresses would I bestow,
Soft-pedals to caress and tickle thee with.
As upon a bed of red and white roses we lay.
And at the end when our bodies are spent
And our passion well used,
Upon a bed of red and white roses we shall lay;
In each other's arms, dreaming the night away!

Raindrops
Raindrops heavy and thick
Fall upon the forest green.
Striking leave and branch,
Rock and ground,
Stream and lake,
In steady cadence.
Natures music in still air.
Raindrops heavy and thick
Tears from heaven as Angles weep.
A tent in a clearing they do strike
Setting the mood,
Passions fire they do light
Deep within the heart of the lovers within.
Raindrops fall.
In a sleeping bag for two
The lovers lay in each other's arms.
Soft skin upon skin,
Covered in loves light intoxicating dew.
Raindrops fall, as Angels weep.
Their lips do touch, flesh pressed hard.
Tongues swirl and dance, their jaws slightly ajar.
Hands exploring soft pleasurable places.
Thighs rub together, gently,
Sending hearts a-racing.
Raindrops.
Passion and desire unite as one
Kisses become urgent, time for fun.
Slowly he does roll and
On top of her, he does rest.
And slide inside her willing nest.
Raindrops.
Slowly do they move as one.
Passion burning hot as the mid-day Texas suns.
Her nipple in his mouth he does take.
Sucking the bud until her breath he does shake.
Deep he does plunge into her nest,
Hip bumping hip in a delightful quest.
The cliff edge approaches as they lose control.
Over the edge and into the pleasure zone.
And still raindrops fall.
At the cliffs bottom her soul
He does catch.
Holding her close nuzzling her neck.
Hands joined together as they
Drift off to sleep
And still raindrops fall thick and heavy
Natures music in still air.

Red Rose, White
Red rose, white rose,
Together on the vine.
Red rose, white rose,
Growing together side-by-side.
Stems intertwined,
Sharing over time.
Pedal touching pedal.
Velvet softness against skin.
Where does one leave off,
And the other begin?
Red against white,
What a beautiful sight;
God's creation blooming in his sight.
Friends forever down the road of life,
Helping each other grow,
Helping each other fight;
The pains of the world,
The sorrows,
The never-ending plights.
Red rose, white rose,
Together in a vase.
Red rose, white rose,
O' see how you shine.
Red rose, white rose,
One of a kind...
