PaymentPlus: Offers a software solution to integrate into your own business system. Generally, this is a viable choice only for a business that administers it's own in-house system. I would not recommend this option for the Exotic Woods case study. The welcome page for the company may be found at: http://www.paymentplus.com/home.php3 CreditNet: Provides services to both consumers and merchants. This "added value" aspect of their site demonstrates that this company understands the need to be responsive to the Internet Community and has a "Clue" a.k.a. "The Cluetrain Manifesto". To use their service to accept credit cards, you must first have a Merchant Account. The Merchant Account connects you to the credit card processor. CreditNet connects your Website to your Merchant account. The website offers easily understood information on how to set up and use their services while likely offering a lower-cost solution then CyberSource. This is the service I would recommend Exotic Woods to use if they did not want to use Yahoo's services. For learning purposes, I plan on using the instructions to design a mock webpage that could be used with CreditNet services. Currently their services are only available for use in the USA market. Their homepage can be reached at: http://www.creditnet.com CyberSource: Targets the Merchant market only and offers many services beyond their credit card program. Both software and service solutions are offered with the ability to transact business virtually anywhere in the world. While this company is the BIGBOY in the market, they maintain a personal aspect to their business which is revealed in reading the Corporate Culture page. http://www.cybersource.com/company/culture The site contains many pages including well written information about the company that demonstrates that they also "have a Clue." Their site can be reached at: http://www.cybersource.com
