STUDIO - page 4

More books and folders
and all my spinning gear is in these shelves.
"weaving music" above
and my small warping board to the right.
If I confuse you - the warping board
is standing in front of 2 weaving frames.

Some of my dyed Mohair fleece
dyed with "Earth Palette" dyes.
Underneath, some wool dyed with natural dyes.

This is a frame made for me by Ron Doley
which allows me to sew the slits in the tapestries
The beams have a simple ratchet, which allows me
to move the tapesty down, as I work along.
I installed the two runners to hold a magnifying glass,
leaving both my hands free for sewing.

Here is the frame with a tapestry. It is easy this way
to sew up the slits which develop during weaving,
when two colors meet at a vertical line for more
than 2 picks.
It is a special "invisible" sewing, which is also used
when restoring tapestries.
